The pasta here is simply amazing!!!
After getting some average pasta at another restaurant ( which was rated one of the best on Tripadvisor!!) we thought that we would try the Osteria Olivia. We saw other customers food and had to come here.
We were not disappointed. The pasta that I ordered was a 10/10 and hand down the best I have had in my life so far!
The service was amazing and they were really friendly and accommodating.
This is definitely a stop for the family when we come back to Rome.
The service was good, they were busy but never felt forgotten. I asked my waiter for recommendations both of them on point, the meatballs with mushrooms and the pasta (caccio romano). I removed a start because my preference is warm (more to the hot) pasta. And they explained to me after I tried that it is a temperature pasta, so I still will appreciate those 25 seconds on the hot portion(but is a preference).
I also tried the chocolate caramel mouse, I didn't love it but I did want to try something different. It wasn't smooth like a mousse recipe. Again a preference which I'm paying for this experience. Should I return; yes to try other things, the service was good!
I will dream about the meal we had here forever. Located near the Monti neighborhood of Rome the location and restaurant itself is beautiful, wonderfully decorated and inviting, even the table wear was beautiful. Excellent service, the bartender and waitress were extremely kind and helpful! The food left my husband and I speechless, it was so incredibly good! Highly recommend!!!
Having heard positive things about this place from Google reviewers, I decided to give it a try. The menu was appealing, and the ambiance matched my preferences. The service was attentive and courteous without being overly familiar. The seating arrangement was well-done, and the overall setting was pleasing.
While the music choice was a bit unconventional with Indie tracks, I personally think traditional Italian music would better complement the atmosphere. As a group of five, we ordered a variety of dishes. The Saffron Gnocchi with Zucchini and Pistachio stood out for me, a delightful combination of flavours.
However, opinions varied within the group. One person felt the Zucchini made the Gnocchi taste overly sweet and burnt, while another found the Mezze Maniche with Gricia Sauce too strong on cheese, and the sauce quantity overwhelming the pasta.
Two others tried the Mezze Maniche with Carbonara Sauce, with one finding it nice but not as good as the standout Gnocchi, and the other describing it as really delicious. Overall, the dining experience was enjoyable, though not outstanding.
On the downside, the bill of €85 for lunch with only water felt a bit steep. While the quality was undeniably high, we've had more satisfying meals at this price range. All in all, it was a pleasant experience, but not one that would compel us to return in the future.
Beautiful desserts (panna cotta is delicious) and a very cute place. The service is lovely. The prices are on a higher end but expected for Rome
After a long day of travel and arriving at my hotel at 1430, it was so much to have them accommodate me before their 1500 close time. The food was superb, but nothing comes close to the service of Claudio and Gabriele!
I truly recommend this restaurant! Thanks to Romina - very polite, kind and profi! Cacio e Pepe was amazing! Lasagne super! I guess the tastiest restaurant in Rome is Olivo! 🙌
Good quality ingredients, but very small portions for the price. I thought the chicken supreme was tiny (one thigh) but the octopus pasta was good. The desert was really nice (apricots marinated in thyme with a sort of whipped cream were nice). The broccoli was just the stem leafs which was odd. Definitely too expensive in my mind
